Located in a new 25-story complex on Yeoui Island in the Han River, it will further extend the reach of our South East Asia team, providing our world-class services to even more clientele in the region. Head of Asia Client Services, Maxim Preston-Scott, will be relocating to Seoul for the initial 12 months to oversee the office and welcome new clients.

This month we bid farewell to Roxanna Hayes, who is departing for a year’s backpacking around Central and South America. Roxanna was a great asset to the International Development consort, working under Dennis Greenwood for six months and forming excellent working relationships with some of our most prestigious overseas clients. When we asked her what she was most looking forward to, she said ‘leaving London behind, turning my phone off and having some quiet time to discover myself’. We hope that this time off the beaten path is everything she dreamt of, and wish her all the best.

This year’s Winter Gala will take place at Kew Gardens, and as always will be raising money in support of our principal charity, the London Tuberculosis Foundation. Hopkins Stearne has been funding TB research, in one form or another, for over 300 years. Last year, we raised £11.2m from the benefit, and this year we’re setting our target even higher, as we raise funds for a new capitalisation project: a brand new TB research centre, located on a plot of land near Mistley Heath in Essex which Hopkins Stearne has proudly donated. We look forward to welcoming both our private and corporate clients for a night to remember.
